Workshops, Lectures and Portfolio Reviews
Workshops:
Dominic Nahr has been giving photographic workshops in English and German since 2012. These have included one to five days workshops with companies and organisations such as Leica Fotografie International (LFI), Leica Galerie Salzburg, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Die Schweizer Journalistenschule (MAZ), Hochschule Hannover (HsH) and for The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) field teams in Iraq, as well as tailored workshops around the world. For more information, please contact Dominic's Studio manager Anita.
Lectures:
Dominic has been delivering lectures since 2009 during festivals such as Visa pour l'image in France, Photo-Schweiz in Switzerland, Lumix Festival in Germany, and at Universities and institutions such as Ryerson in Canada, at the Leitz Park in Wetzlar, Germany, and at The Foreign Correspondents' Club in Hong Kong. Dominic also gives private lectures to organisations where he not only focuses on the photographic practice but also a personal commentary on how to work in volatile situations; with the inevitable mental fallout these working environments can create.
Portfolio Reviews:
Dominic is fascinated with how photographers think, edit and present their work. In his portfolio reviews he tries to asses the path the photographer may or may not have chosen and guide the individual to find a narrative of their own. His last portfolio reviews were conducted during this years Les Rencontres d'Arles where he also had a solo exhibition in conjunction with the Fotostiftung Schweiz the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation. Portfolio reviews can be set up for individuals, as well as for groups. Please contact studio@dominicnahr.com for further information.
