Happy to hear that my work in Fukushima is a winner in the 2015 PDN Photo Annual Photojournalism/Documentary Awards. Congratulations to the other winners - I'm proud to be listed among them! Check out all the great work here . Thank you to Kira Pollack and Paul Moakley for last years TIME cover story highlighting the issues surrounding Fukushima nuclear accident several years after earthquake and tsunami.
Nahr will be running an intensive programme during the two day workshop, including editing, individual and group discussions, and a presentation of his approach to photography. I will be taking part in this years 'Emerging' group exhibition organised by Photo District News (PDN) Magazine from June 6th to September 20th 2015 in Annenberg Space for Photography, 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, CA.
Emerging presents images by more than 90 emerging photographers from around the world who bring a fresh perspective and creative techniques to professional photography. The exhibit explores how a new generation of photographers examines a variety of topics, from the personal to the global: youth culture, family, the environment, economic uncertainty, conflict and civil unrest, and the nature of the photographic image.
